Hip Hop Is Left Mourning As Another Legend Dies

On March 15th, 2011, Nate Dogg, G-Funk Pioneer, died in Long Beach, California from complications related to his previous heart strokes which occurred on December 19, 2007 and September 2008. 

Erica Beckwith told MTV News that Nate Dogg had been released on December 26 after being treated for a stroke and had been admitted to a medical-rehab facility to assist him in his recovery. In January 2008, it was officially reported that the stroke had rendered the left side of his body paralyzed. Doctors believed there would be a full recovery, and his voice was not affected. In September 2008, Nate suffered his second stroke. Warren G later confirmed that since the second stroke, Nate was undergoing physical therapy in an attempt to return to some normality, but it was unclear whether Nate would be able to resume his singing career.

Tributes poured in from collaborators and friends such as Ludacris, The Game, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Daz, Xzibit, Erykah Badu, Murs, Big Pooh, Big Skye, Fabolous, Sheist, Knoc-Turn'al, Ice-T, Warren G and Eminem.

Known for his mellow and unique choruses during Death Row Records golden days, Nate Dogg exploded onto the music scene as Warren G's partner-in-crime on their hit single "Regulate." His unique voice and musical ability will never be duplicated. Hip Hop is left mourning as another great passes away.

J The S: Handcuff Sex

There is no doubt that the Pornography industry definitely shares miscellaneous ties with the Hip Hop industry and because of these relations we've seen a lot of failed attempts. Yes, this is referring to the horrendous music by Pornstars such as the paper-clip-like-jewelery wearing Brian Pumper and the pink-haired-award-winning Pinky. (We in no way shape or form encourage you to listen to these two "artists")

Not all is lost because this relationship between the industries is responsible for some amazing work as well. Artists like Eminem, Nelly, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Ray-J, R.Kelly, Jay-Z and etc. have featured some of these women on their music videos. The relation that ultimately brings these two industries together is the well known fact of artist and their well known polygamous desires and objectification of women but we won't dwell on that topic because it's such a complex situation that deserve a number a discussion posts.

Fast forward a couple of years and on March 31st 2010 a video by an upcoming artist, J The S, makes it's debut on the net. The Massachusetts born artist earned the opportunities of opening shows for artists such as Kool G Rap, AZ, Fat Joe, Slaughterhouse, Brother Ali, Talib Kweli and Wu-Tang Clan ensured the young rapper respect from the hip-hop veterans. J The S's (which is short for Jake The Snake) music reflects the thoughts of someone who’s seen and experienced much during his life. He was exposed to the criminal underworld from a young age, first as a child in his household and later on his own as an adult. Though he can speak with authority about that lifestyle, his music embodies more than just a street mentality. His work as a teacher in Boston, in which he facilitated youth-oriented programs focusing on social issues and politics, reflects an intelligence and depth that defies his young age.

The Twilight Zone or should I say The 5'9" Zone!

Royce Da 5'9", Detroit Hip Hop recording artist, is probably one of the most underrated rappers in the industry. He is mostly recognized due to his association with Eminem, his famous dispute with Eminem and group D12, recording mainly with DJ Premier, Nottz and Carlos "6 July" Broady, as well as ghostwriting (writing songs for other artists) for the likes of P. Diddy and Dr. Dre. In recent news, he's also a member of rap group Slaughterhouse which features other underground heavyweights Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Crooked I. He has left a mark in the underground with his successful mixtape series, The Bar Exam, and has released several albums to further solidify himself as one of the elite rhyme sayers of the Hip Hop world. This one fellow is slick plus this overpowering delivery of his syllables that doesn't make it hard to believe that he can hold his own on songs featuring other elites.

In this particular song, Royce delivers one awesome story with a template bounding similarities to Twilight Zone episode. (Click Twilight Zone to know what it is) The video is directed by Rik Cordero. All Slaughterhouse members make a cameo.
